Plain-English Summary

StackVett earns money through affiliate commissions. When you click a link on our site to a construction software vendor and sign up or make a purchase, we may receive a commission from that vendor. You pay the same price — there is no markup added for you. This is how we fund our independent research and keep the site free to read.

Our reviews and comparisons reflect our honest assessment. We are not paid to write positive reviews, and our editorial opinions cannot be influenced by whether a vendor offers higher commissions or not.

1. Our Material Connection to Vendors

In compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255 (“Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising”), we disclose that StackVett has material connections with several construction software vendors and affiliate networks. Specifically:

  • We participate in referral programs operated directly by software vendors (including but not limited to JobTread, Buildertrend, Contractor Foreman, and other construction management platforms).
  • We participate in affiliate networks including but not limited to Impact.com and PartnerStack, which manage affiliate relationships for vendors such as monday.com, Wrike, and others.
  • We may receive commissions, referral fees, or performance-based payments when a visitor clicks one of our links and subsequently becomes a paying customer of the vendor.

These relationships constitute a “material connection” under FTC guidelines and must be disclosed.

2. How Affiliate Links Work

When you click certain links on StackVett (typically within product reviews, comparisons, and recommendations), those links contain tracking codes that identify StackVett as the referring source. If you complete a qualifying action on the destination site — such as signing up for a free trial, scheduling a demo, or purchasing a subscription — the vendor or affiliate network may compensate us.

Key facts about affiliate links on our site:

  • You pay the same price. Affiliate commissions are paid by the vendor, not added to your cost.
  • Tracking cookies typically last 30–90 days. This varies by program and is governed by the vendor’s affiliate terms.
  • Not every link is an affiliate link. We link to sources, news articles, and documentation for reference purposes — these are not monetized.
  • Affiliate links are marked where appropriate through context (e.g., “Get started with [Software]” buttons) or through disclosure statements within individual articles.

3. Our Editorial Independence

We take editorial integrity seriously. While we earn commissions from some of the vendors we review, our opinions are not for sale. Specifically:

  • We write critical reviews. If a product has weaknesses, we say so — even if we earn a commission on that product.
  • Commission rates do not influence our rankings. We do not rank products higher because they pay higher commissions.
  • We recommend products we believe serve readers well. If a lower-commission product is a better fit for a specific use case, we recommend it.
  • We cover products we don’t monetize. Many of the platforms we review and compare are not part of any affiliate program we participate in. We cover them because they are relevant to readers.
  • We do not accept paid reviews. No vendor pays us to write a positive review. We do not accept sponsored posts disguised as reviews.

4. How We Research and Review

Our reviews are based on a combination of:

  • Publicly available information — vendor documentation, feature lists, pricing pages, help center content.
  • Third-party reviews and industry reports — G2, Capterra, TrustRadius, and industry publications.
  • Demo accounts and free trials where available.
  • Direct vendor communication for clarifying questions about pricing, features, or policies.

Where a vendor has provided us with extended access (for example, a longer trial period) to facilitate in-depth review, we will note this within the relevant article.

5. Products and Vendors We Cover

StackVett covers construction management software broadly. Our coverage includes (but is not limited to):

  • Procore
  • Buildertrend
  • JobTread
  • monday.com (for construction use cases)
  • Contractor Foreman
  • Wrike
  • Other emerging platforms in the construction technology space

Our affiliate relationships with these vendors change over time. A vendor may be an affiliate partner today and not tomorrow (or vice versa). Regardless of current affiliate status, our coverage methodology remains the same.

StackVett’s current editorial focus is construction management software. We may expand coverage to other B2B SaaS categories in the future; if we do, this disclosure will be updated to reflect any new affiliate relationships.

6. Bonus Offers and Incentives

From time to time, we may offer bonus resources (such as educational guides, calculators, or templates) to readers who sign up for a vendor’s service through our referral link. These bonuses are:

  • Created by StackVett — not by the vendor.
  • Free to access — there is no additional cost to the reader.
  • Disclosed clearly on the relevant landing page or article.
  • Reviewed or approved by the vendor where required by the affiliate program terms.

Bonus offers do not change the price or terms of the underlying software subscription.

7. What We Don’t Do

To be crystal clear about our boundaries:

  • We do not offer cash rebates or discounts funded by our commissions.
  • We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews.
  • We do not hide negative information about products to protect commissions.
  • We do not generate fake reviews or testimonials.
  • We do not sell visitor data to vendors or third parties.

8. FTC Endorsement Guidelines

We voluntarily comply with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines for endorsements and testimonials. These guidelines require that any material connection between an endorser (StackVett) and the endorsed product (software vendors) be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.

This page serves as our primary disclosure. In addition, individual articles that contain affiliate links may include in-line disclosure statements where appropriate.
